Was that with the beta or the final release? With the final release, I have no
problems with responsiveness or working with assistants. I test on a mac mini
from 2010 with Mavericks and a 2015 Macbook pro with El Capitan.
In any case, a general "nothing works" is a bit too generic to be useful as a
bug report. With 3.1, I hope that all problems will be resolved.
