Bug ID: 427825 Summary: Konsole scroll-bar unusable with a dark background. Product: konsole Version: 19.12.3 Platform: Ubuntu Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: konsole-de...@kde.org Reporter: kdebugtrack.20.andromo...@spamgourmet.com Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 132436 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=132436&action=edit Konsole SUMMARY At some point it seems it was decided to use the terminal color scheme for the konsole scrollbar. https://phabricator.kde.org/D11184 The way this was implemented leaves huge usability holes. It seems to use just a darker version of the background color. So, if someone has a dark background color (for example gray text on a black background - common for nighttime coders), the scrollbar becomes black on black. It's indecipherable from the surroundings and downright unusable. This is a huge regression on something super simple. STEPS TO REPRODUCE Install ubuntu 20.04. Use konsole with a black background color. OBSERVED RESULT Unusable scrollbar since you can't find it. EXPECTED RESULT A scrollbar like every other scrollbar in every other KDE app, where I can configure it in the settings used for scrollbars. Or, if some people like this feature, the ability to turn it on or off in the settings. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Other people have also experienced this and wanted control over this behavior: https://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2446503&s=6afc441e54512e2868ac893a6dc02164&p=13969659#post13969659 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
