Bug ID: 428610 Summary: Plasma no longer binds Ctrl+Alt+T to Konsole by default Product: plasmashell Version: 5.20.2 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: minor Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: k...@davidedmundson.co.uk Reporter: joey.joey...@gmail.com CC: plasma-b...@kde.org Target Milestone: 1.0 SUMMARY For some reason Plasma no longer sets Konsole as default terminal when a new user is created, aka logging in to a user with an empty home folder. On previous versions like 5.18.x konsole used to be the default terminal, now on latest version you have to manually bind Ctrl+Alt+T when creating a new user. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Log in to a new user with an empty home folder 2. Compare behavior between 5.18.x and 5.20.x 3. On 5.18.x pressing Ctrl+Alt+T opens the terminal, whereas on 5.20.x it does not and you have to set it manually OBSERVED RESULT EXPECTED RESULT SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.20.2 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.75.0 Qt Version: 5.15.1 Kernel Version: 5.9.1-zen2-1-zen OS Type: 64-bit Processors: 4 × Intel® Core™ i5-7200U CPU @ 2.50GHz Memory: 11.5 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: Mesa Intel® HD Graphics 620 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
