Not sure who you want more info from but here goes.
The original post early 2019, 18 months ago is so long ago, I don't remember
doing it. I am on 19.3 now and it still does similar issues.
When I right click a folder in the graphical display (circles) I get the first
choice to open file manager here. When I do, now on mint Cinnamon 19.3 I get
Baobab, not Nemo. And open terminal does the same thing.
Note I'm not on any KDE type system just a few libraries to get apps working.
Linux Mint Cinnamon 19.3 64bit.
