as activities are described from a name and an icon, it would be much more
useful/clear if the pager showed the activity icon when the "Display Icons"
option is selected.
right now a stack of icons of running applications is displayed.
it would also be wonderful to have a "mixed pager" that displays, maybe on two
different rows, virtual desktops and activities, or two columns if virtual
desktops are on multiple rows.
