--- Comment #3 from roger peppe <rogpe...@gmail.com> --- I'm using another laptop now from when I first reported the bug (an X1 Carbon running Ubuntu 20.04.01) and I don't use IRC much these days, but I can still reproduce the issue. As an example, I chose the file /usr/share/sounds/gnome/default/alerts/sonar.ogg. I verified that this file can be played fine by other apps on the system, but no sound is made when clicking the "play" button in the notification settings.
