Bug ID: 431006 Summary: Indicators keyboard shortcut cannot be removed Product: plasmashell Version: master Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: System Tray Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: o...@geek.co.il CC: mate...@gmail.com Target Milestone: 1.0 Created attachment 134417 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=134417&action=edit Screencast showing the same problem with the keyboard status indicator Running on Neon unstable. SUMMARY Some indicators, such as the system tray indicator, the keyboard status indicator, or the media player indicator, have a configuration dialog that allows setting a keyboard shortcut to trigger the indicator popup dialog using the keyboard. After setting a keyboard shortcut using the indicator-specific configuration dialog, it is not possible to remove the shortcut - clicking the "Clear" button does not enable the "Apply" button and pressing "OK" actually disregards the change. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Right click the system tray open/close button (the small triangle) and choose "Configure System Tray" from the RMB menu. 2. In the "System Tray Settings - Plasma" dialog that opens, select the "Keyboard Shortcuts" option. 3 .Assign a keyboard shortcut using the shortcut widget. 4. Click "OK". 5. Open the "System Tray Settings" dialog again and navigate tot he "Keyboard Shortcuts" view. 6. Press the "Clear" button (left arrow with an X on it). OBSERVED RESULT The shortcut widget resets to say "None", bu the "Apply" button stays disabled. Changing to a different view in the settings dialog and back shows the shortcut back to the original setting. Pressing "OK" does not actually unset the shortcut. EXPECTED RESULT The "Apply" button should be enabled and can be used to apply the change of unsetting the shortcut. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS KDE Plasma Version: 5.20.80 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.78.0 Qt Version: 5.15.2 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION It is possible to remove the unwanted shortcut using the System Settings' "Shortcuts" tool. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
