Alt-C for switching to "Description" sub-Tab only works if you are already in the "Captions" tab by use of the fundamental GUI navigation tricks (this is not a proper shortcut). Still I agree that there are keyboard shortcuts for 97+% of metadata use cases. And yes, I have an urge to make DigiKam usable by all grandparents who have nicely used WLPG with minimal guidance out of the box. For myself, I can somehow spend several days configuring, testing and learning this stuff. Unfortunately that's how DigiKam works today. Amazing software with horrific learning curve.
