I am also seeing this issue. I am running Kubuntu 2020.4 on a home server with
a Ryzen 3600. When SSH'ed into a locked screen, I see kscreenlocker_g at about
20-30% cpu, with spikes up to 300%. kwin_x11 is also around 13% CPU. After I
login, I don't see a single process above 1%.
