After a few iterations with David, we were able to get a stack with debug
symbols and it helped to localize the problem: it's been in an upstream
component - either solid lib or KIOFileWidgets.
David upgraded the system from 20.04 to 20.10 and the issue is gone for him.
KF5 version has changed from 5.68 to 5.74. If you experience an issue like
this, try to upgrade KF5 libs to the latest or at least to >= 5.74. Let us know
if you still have the problem.
