Those UI controls in the font KCM should look the same as the text fields, checkboxes, spinboxes in KDE apps. The appearance is visibly wrong in your screenshot. Unfortunately I don't know enough about NixOS packaging to help further. Any chance you could ask for help in a distro-specific venue?
