This issue just annoyed my wife after she partitioned a new backup hard drive
she bought. The distro is KDE Neon User Edition. She commented that if I hadn't
been present, she would have thought the hard drive was broken and tried to
return it.
It would be great if we could find a solution to this issue, one way or
another. As-is, it makes partition operations require an esoteric manual step
afterwards that the average user may not be equipped to handle.
