I just tried to reproduce the situation from the original bug report from 2017
but did not manage to produce an "unused session". Instead, when I logged in
with the same user into a new session, only the waiting cursor appeared but did
not finish the loading process. I also could not enter the original session.
So, I used loginctl from a tty session to kill all the other two. In any case,
I feel that some hint somewhere that Ctrl+Alt+NUMBER can switch sessions -
potentially for rescue purposes - can be useful. I cannot exactly point out
where.
