SUMMARY
System Monitor seems to use a lot of CPU all the time. On my installation it is
constantly using 30+% CPU whatever page it displays. This is especially
problematic with portable devices such as laptops and tablets that work on
battery, as the constant CPU usage makes the frequency stay up longer than is
actually necessary and reduces battery life considerably.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open System Monitor
OBSERVED RESULT
System Monitor clogs the CPU with 30+% usage.
EXPECTED RESULT
System Monitor uses a small CPU percentage to do its job.
