Ditto on the base packages and Kate version. So maybe it's a Plasma 5 specific
issue?

Some more testing ...
1. Ensure you have *NO* saved Kate sessions
2. Start Kate session (either from shell or application menu/krunner)
3. Disable plugin "File system browser"
4. In Kate settings menu : enable save Window state in Session / Load last used
Session
5. Sessions -> Save session (i.e. save to a blank/default session)
6. Close Kate
7. Restart Kate (as per 2.)

In my mind (!!) a blank session name should still be saved to a "default"
location.

But even when I used a named session and the above steps - none of my plugins
are staying enabled. Even when I manually reload the session... The other Kate
settings are being restored successfully. Very weird??!!

I've tried cleaning out the "cruft" - removing my kate* config files from
~/.config.
There are no KDE 4 config kate* config files in my ~/.kde4 profile directories.

So it I guess it might be a cache issue - with Plasma 5. I'll try cleaning this
out next!!
