I think it's a package problem. The Breeze or BreezeDark Icon theme is required
by digiKam. Other icon themes do not have the icons digiKam needs. Look in the
digiKam setup under Miscellaneous-> Appearance which icon theme is set. You can
also use a system icon theme, but don't expect all icons to be displayed.
