SUMMARY
When both are next to each other, only an empty space separates both.
My suggestion would be something that would allow you to do this:

There are several other widgets that do this, but for the sake of a system less
modified by third parties, I think it is something to be considered as it
greatly improves the appearance of the digital clock applet.
