Bug ID: 437212 Summary: connect Blackmagic Intensity Pro4 K with OBS Software and get the camera running. Product: OCS Version: unspecified Platform: Ubuntu Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: General Assignee: lei...@leinir.dk Reporter: starchildaquar...@yandex.com Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 138491 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=138491&action=edit i just recorded when i try to find The Blackmagic card in OBS i know were it should be. and you see also the card itself on the right side. SUMMARY Sorry i was looking for OBS the Streaming software but could t find anything so i took ocs it was the closest. The Point is. I have a quite expensive hardware called Blackmagic Intesity Pro 4 K witch i can install without Problem with the capture and Plaback software from the Blackmagic Homepage https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/support/family/capture-and-playback This card should connect a camcorder via HDMI to the computer. But the OBS Software dosent make a connection to it. I have tried the same on Ubuntu Desktop.20.10 and now 21.04 with Gnome Desktop and there i have a connection (the Camera still dosent work but at least i see the sign Blackmagic device.) Witch i dont see if i make the same on Ubuntu Studio with KDE desktop or on Ubuntu Desktop with KDE full version. It just dosent show up. since i consider KDE the more advanced system i hope you can make that work somehow. somehow the capture and Playback software dose not conect to the KDE Desktop since it dose conect to ubuntu desktop (althou it still dosent work properly ) i thought i ask you guy s here) Ps: Please dont tell me i should try the video capture device on the list you can see it on the little video i send you. You can belive me i have tried that before i found out that there needs to be a special Blacmagic sign. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. install capture and Playback software from Blackmagic. But it maybe dosent work without the intensity Pro 4 K card - that would be 250 Euros. Do you have a budget for such things? (probably not) 2. Install OBS Software 3. Try to connect the two 4; Put a camcorder on the other end and try to get a picture. OBSERVED RESULT i dont see the line Blackmagic device in OBS after installing the Capture and Playback software. and of corse - no picture EXPECTED RESULT The picture from the camera on my screen after connecting OBS with a Blackmagic Device.
