Bug ID: 437783 Summary: Kwin crashes when mouse over time widget Product: kwin Version: 5.21.4 Platform: Kubuntu Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: crash Priority: NOR Component: wayland-generic Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: luancarvalhomart...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY I am experiencing a very peculiar, but annoying crash when some particular steps are executed. Because I use the clock widget at bottom-right corner of the screen, I end up triggering the crash inadvertently every now and then. Also, when the crash happens, after I kill kwin-wayland and login again, some processes eat up 100% of my CPU. It is generally some akonadi processes and/or Yakuake. Effectively, I have to reboot after the crash happens. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Point to clock widget in a panel 2. Wait for the hovering box to appear 3. Move mouse out of the panel OBSERVED RESULT kwin crashes EXPECTED RESULT No crash SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Kubuntu 21.04 KDE Plasma Version: 5.21.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.80.0 Qt Version: 5.15.2 Kernel Version: 5.11.0-17-generic OS Type: 64-bit Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 8 × Intel® Core™ i5-1035G1 CPU @ 1.00GHz Memory: 15.4 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: Mesa Intel® UHD Graphics ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Only happens using plasma Wayland.
