SUMMARY
In the "Battery and Brightness" applet, after unchecking the "Inhibit automatic
sleep and screen locking" checkbox, the power management inhibition remains
active. Only restarting plasmashell resets all inhibitions.
I found, that after unchecking the above checkbox, PlasmaCore.DataSource for
the "powermanagement" engine still contains the "plasmashell" inhibition
(https://invent.kde.org/plasma/plasma-workspace/-/blob/master/applets/batterymonitor/package/contents/ui/logic.js#L77).
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open "System Settings"
2. Go to "Power Management" > "Energy Saving"
3. Check "Dim screen" checkbox and set delay to 1 minute
4. Open "Battery and Brightness" applet
5. Check the "Inhibit automatic sleep and screen locking" checkbox to enable
power management inhibition and wait a few seconds (it takes a few seconds to
turn it on)
6. Uncheck the above checkbox to disable power management inhibition
7. Wait 1 minute until the screen goes dim
OBSERVED RESULT
The screen doesn't dim.
EXPECTED RESULT
The screen dims.
