I can reproduce this issue with any PNG image created by the ImageMagick suite
when using its default settings. For example, with ImageMagick installed, type

convert filename test.png

then open test.png in Gwenview, and it will look washed out.
The issue did not happen with Gwenview 21.04.3.

Just in case, I currently have ImageMagick version 7.1.0-4 installed, however,
I have screenshots taken with it dating back to 2016 that have the same issue,
so the version shouldn't matter.
