Once copied the behaviour is as commented (no metadata for GPS, maybe other are not present). The second part in the traces is when I re-read the metadata of that file from Item menu (and GPS information appears in metadata). I hope was useful. I'm not an expert in software development. A guess: All my heic files were already in others albums in database for long time.
