Bug ID: 442558 Summary: [Transform tool] "in-stack" rendering as a toggle switch in tool option (instead of Krita settings) Product: krita Version: 5.0.0-beta1 Platform: Compiled Sources OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Usability Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: i...@davidrevoy.com Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 141616 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=141616&action=edit ^ screenshot of where is located the option in Krita 5. Far away. Hi, Today, while testing Krita5 I had issue with Liquify transform: super slow on a layer; mega slow on a group. It felt at first like a big regression of performances. The big slow-down comes from the new feature "Use in-stack preview in Transform Tool". A workaround to desactivate it is to go to settings > Performances > Instant preview and uncheck it. I found it thanks to Tiar on IRC. I think the two modes ("in-stack rendering" and legacy way of rendering) have both pros and cons depending the task required. Getting full WYSIWYG is great; but it has a big cost on performance so having the option to desactivate it quickly would be great. When I had the slow-down, I immediately tried alone to check if something changed in the "Tool-Option" of Transform Tool. That's why I think this is a good place to also have a toggle switch here. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
