The feature would be great!
An addition to the following would be great:
When working in the setup with the closed laptop's lid and monitor, one could
use the try widget/icon for battery (To show Energy information), to
increase/decrease the brightness for the currently "active" monitor.
Or when the laptop lid is open, for all monitors, or some option to choose.
