Bug ID: 443697 Summary: KDE does not respect "primary" screen settings when launching applications and using a "extend up" screen configuration Product: plasmashell Version: 5.22.5 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: major Priority: NOR Component: Multi-screen support Assignee: aleix...@kde.org Reporter: korbin.freed...@guilderlandschools.net CC: plasma-b...@kde.org Target Milestone: 1.0 Created attachment 142420 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=142420&action=edit Example of bug (top bar represents edge of laptop screen, konsole and Dolphin were just launched and window was not yet resized) SUMMARY When I connect my laptop to a new monitor and change the screen configuration to have one screen on top of another, some applications open in the middle of both screens and seem to completely ignore screen boundaries. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Change screen configuration to one on top of another 2. Launch a few applications 3. Some applications will spawn in the middle of both screens OBSERVED RESULT Applications spawn in the middle of both screens, which is especially bad if one screen is not working. EXPECTED RESULT Applications spawn on the screen marked "primary" just as it would when a second screen was not connected.
