I have three .desktop entries in /usr/share/applications for browsers:

> ls -al /usr/share/applications/google-chrome.desktop

/usr/share/applications/firefox.desktop
Firefox and Chrome appear perfectly well in the application menu. Chromium does
not, and cannot be searched for; I can only launch it from the terminal.
It shows up in gnome and unity's menus.
