We could add something to protect the user from their own decisions, but that becomes a can of worms really quickly, as it's quite difficult to explain this kind of situation to a normal user. Arguably if there's a desire to prevent this condition from happening, it should be handled in the distro's packaging, by marking blueman and bluedevil as mutually exclusive, so that it's not possible to have both installed at the same time; it's never a valid combination.
