I tried digiKam-7.4.0-20211118T131744-x86-64.appimage.
The problem is still there.
Ubuntu 21.10, Gnome 40.4.0, Wayland.
The reduced images are created in /tmp/digikam-WnKmAc/... and will be deleted,
when Finish is clicked.
