Bug ID: 447632 Summary: KDE/Plasma compositing issue: Transparent Firefox & Truly dark theme for Sublime Merge Product: kwin Version: git master Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: compositing Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: m...@ratijas.tk Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY KWin, video driver, or whatever is responsible for this… I don't know. But the thing is, Firefox window may become transparent under certain conditions (or just because it feels like it); Sublime Merge window content becomes black under other certain conditions; icons, textures, and whole window surfaces may contain garbage pixels after sleep, and so on… I took a video depicting the process: https://youtu.be/hFeFBrDVUy0 STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Launch Firefox 2. Hover over its icon in the task manager 3. Hover over the window preview on a tooltip of its icon OBSERVED RESULT Firefox's window may become transparent. Its server-side decorations are in place. Hovering over, or interacting with the window (where it's supposed to be) brings its graphics back to normal. But otherwise it is fully transparent; you can see things going on behind it. EXPECTED RESULT Obviously, this should not happen.
