That's not quite the command I asked for, but it's still kinda helpful.

Basically "Default Browser" and "Default Application for HTML files" are
different things. For example you might want to open HTML files in a text
editor instead of a browser by default.

You can change the default application for (X)HTML files in the "File
associations" settings.

Now an interesting question would be why it's still trying to open Firefox.
This sounds like an incomplete uninstallation
