This is caused by having a local Akonadi instance running, when the
kdesrc-build Kalendar has been built against the most up-to-date Akonadi
version acquired through kdesrc-build.
You can stop your system's Akonadi instance with akonadictl stop. Running
kalendar with kdesrc-build will now work as intended.
