just a small note to confirm I have the same problem : session is not correctly
restored on next login, most of the windows are opened on the same virtual
screen (not necesarily screen #1, could be #4 in my case (I have 6 virtual
screen)
Happens for me since approx april 2021 when I updated my PC (mageia cauldron)
to plasma 5.21
This is 100% reproductible, session is not restored correctly anymore since
this update, while it worked flawlessly before (plasma < 5.21)
This is only with X11, I never used wayland.
Similar issue were also reported here

Thanks for any fix that could happen for this, it's a real pain when you need
to manually move all your windows / apps on their expected virtual screen each
time you power on your pc.
