Thanks for clarifying that. This assumption is not reflected in the current
state of the code, so that would be the problem. :)
In principle there is no reason why auto-hide should be disabled in tablet mode
though, since you can swipe from the edge to show the panel. I just tried that
and it's working for me. Does that not work for you?
