Thanks, Thomas, for the bug report!
We're not maintaining Plasma 4 anymore upstream, so this bug is unlikely to get
attention in Plasma 4. I'm pretty confident that this is fixed in Plasma 5,
however, so once you decide to upgrade, it should work just fine. If it doesn't
(especially with 5.8, where we fixed a lot of multi screen problems), please
file a separate bug report.
Sorry to not be more useful for your immediate situation, though.
