SUMMARY
Kate for Windows does not support Markdown Preview, because Markdownpart is not
installed.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Install Kate on Windows
2. Enable Document Preview plugin
3. Open .md file
OBSERVED RESULT
Document Preview shows nothing
EXPECTED RESULT
Document Preview shows privew of rendered markdown.
SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows: 10 Home 21H1
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
markdownpart is not built for windows and can't be installed
I have made a fix which adds markdownpart to kate on windows in MR
https://invent.kde.org/packaging/craft-blueprints-kde/-/merge_requests/299
This always installs markdownpart with Kate. You might prefer it was a
configurable option when installing Kate on Windows instead.
