The deficiency of zoom in Slideshow continues to exist. When it was entered in
2011 there was description of how important slideshow is to digikam and how
important zoom is as a tool for audience experience during a slideshow
presentation.
In 2014 it appeared there was a partial fix with the existing plugin at that
time. In 2019 it seems a new plugin was to be been deployed for display but
there is no comment how the new GLviewer may or may not stand in the way of
resolving the deficiency
