            Bug ID: 450131
Summary: In Wayland, the "windows minimize" animation moves in
the wrong direction (towards the right)
           Product: kwin
           Version: 5.24.0
          Platform: Other
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: effects-various
          Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org
          Reporter: jwork12...@yahoo.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
See title: this problem is specific to wayland

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. you start with several open windows, corresponding to icons+text in the
taskbar (taskbar at the bottom)
Icons+text is important to give the "buttons" in the taskbar enough width to
clearly observe the intended effect.
2. Minimize a window.

OBSERVED RESULT
The minimization animation moves from the outlines of the window location
towards the right of the screen, not ending on the outline of the "button" in
the taskbar. Thus the minimization gives a false/incorrect hint of where the
window is minimized to. I had to turn it of since it was too confusing.

EXPECTED RESULT
I expect the same behavior as in X-windows: the minimization should end
precisely at the outline of the "button" (representation
of the window) in the taskbar, because that is where it always "is".

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System: KDE neon 5.24
KDE Plasma Version: 5.24.0
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.90.0
Qt Version: 5.15.3
Graphics Processor: Mesa DRI IntelĀ® HD Graphics 3000

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I checked with Nate Graham who asked to create this bug report since it is not
an intended behavior, so I guess we should see it as a regression from the
desired behavior (still working under X-windows).
