I'm not sure what is the real status of this bug, since it is not "needsinfo"
anymore, but I can confirm that the bug is still there in KDE Plasma 5.24.0, on
OpenSUSE Tumbleweed Snapshot 20220214.
I would like to get this issue moving forward, if I can help more please let me
know.
I've changed the region mainly to have my desktop environment use formats
familiar to me, but along with it the user interface language was also changed.
I'll include a screenshot proving this as an attachment.
It is particaly weird since this language is not even listed at "Locale
Settings \ Language", so in my interpretation, it is not installed (also I
don't remember installing it, in the system's lifetime of 2 hours in a virtual
machine).
The reason I want to change it back to English - while keeping my region for
the formats - is threefold:
1. Using the translation it is much harder to search online for problems
regarding my system.
2. Using the translation, certain messages may be inaccurate.
3. The translation is incomplete (as seen on the screenshot).
I also agree that besides this, it would also be very useful to have the
possibility to use custom formatting settings, as it is also possible on
Windows operating systems.
