can replicate the issue in my setup with Arch, with 2 GPUs I have 1 display
connected to each GPU. since 5.24.2 only the second GPU has signal, display
settings can't be changed if the issue is present and if the second display is
disconnected the system crashes. a workaround is to start the session with only
the main display connected and then connecting the second display and it'll
work as expected, downgrading to kwin 5.24.1 is also a workaround
GPUs:
AMD RX 470 (HDMI Display)
AMD HD 6950 (DVI Display)
