--- Comment #22 from Michael <michael.nos...@gmx.de> --- I can only report what I have noticed after upgrading towards digikam 7.6.0 (and even some earlier releases) - there is something mysterious if jpegs are autorotated by digikam during upload. But I do not need to enable autorotation within digikam any more (I did that some years ago when many viewers were unable to repect EXIF's orientation) - anyhow it's better not to modify jpegs directly during upload into digikam.
