Hi there, I have Kdenlive 16.04.3 installed on Kali linux (Linux (x86_64)
release 4.6.0-kali1-amd64, nvidia graphic driver) and have same problem as
described above. The playback screen is allways black, it does not depend on
clip codecs etc. When started from console kdenlive, loaded previously working
project with clip on timeline it does not throw any errors:

The sound from clip is played properly, but the preview screen stays black no
matter what. I've tried different configurations settings, resetting to
defaults etc. If you have any questions feel free to ask.
