Bug ID: 453188 Summary: Krita crashes instantly upon attempting to flatten layers Product: krita Version: 5.0.6 Platform: Microsoft Windows OS: Microsoft Windows Status: REPORTED Severity: crash Priority: NOR Component: Layer Stack Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: scribblef...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY *** NOTE: If you are reporting a crash, please try to attach a backtrace with debug symbols. See https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports *** STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Create document with 14 group layers, each holding 6-10 layers. Include 8-10 reference images. 2. Open some folders, change which layers are visible within several groups 3. Click Layer -> Flatten Image OBSERVED RESULT Krita instantly crashes to desktop, closes itself without any announcement, no automatic saves. EXPECTED RESULT Krita flattens into a single layer. (Krita happily flattened the image straight from the save file, without changing the visible layers. I tried saving the file after changing visibility of layers, then flattening from there, but Krita still crashed to desktop.) SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: 10 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION The resolution is very small, 256x256px, but all the layers bring it to a 11.5Mib file. Ah wait, I've just found a fix - I upped my swap file size from 10GiB to 16GiB in 'configure krita'. Not sure why this fixed it, as my canvas was only 11.5MiB, but there we are. Just replicated my actions, and yeah, that's fixed the problem. I'll submit the bug report anyway, so that if similar things happen in future you have an answer to give people. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
