SUMMARY
I started receiving the error "Maximum number of clients reached" when trying
to open new X-based programs.

Upon investigation, I saw that `kded5` was using 146 connections -- the next
highest program was using 8 [1]. Restarting kded5 solved the problem.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Leave desktop running for a few days/weeks, until X reports "Maximum number
of clients reached" when trying to start a new window.
