Hello there!
Does this problem still occur in the latest Plasma LTS release (5.24)? I
couldn't reproduce the issue in versions 5.24 and 5.25.
Also, please note that the Active Window Control widget has been unmaintained
for years now and Psifidoto's 'Window Buttons Widget' is a spiritual successor
to the aforementioned widget. Check it out here:
https://github.com/psifidotos/applet-window-buttons . I assume that packages
should be available for Ubuntu as well.
