Is this a virtual device? If you show hidden virtual devices by right-clicking
on the Audio Volume icon, right-clicking on "Configure Audio Volume…", and
check "Display virtual devices", does that make it appear again? If so, you're
welcome to use that setting for the time being, and this is a duplicate of Bug
455283.
