Bug ID: 455480 Summary: [FeatureRequest] Windows dragged over display borders cannot be placed in a different workspace Product: kwin Version: 5.25.0 Platform: openSUSE RPMs OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: minor Priority: NOR Component: effects-overview Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: david.vuckov...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY The title is a mouthful. Let me explain. Currently, I'm focused on workspace 1, on monitor A. I want to take my window, to monitor B, workspace 4. So what I do is drag windows across the monitor, into the top-bar where the workspaces are. The window on my cursor gets smaller and everything, but the window is then placed in workspace 1, on monitor B. I can then drag it to workspace 4, and it displays where I want to. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Enter overview 2. Drag window to the workspace bar on the other monitor 3. OBSERVED RESULT Window doesn't show up in the non focused workspace on the other monitor, but on the focused workspace. EXPECTED RESULT Window is placed to the workspace I dragged it too, achieving the same functionality on a single monitor and multi monitor setups.
