--- Comment #8 from Phillip Carver <phillip.w.car...@gmail.com> ---
For months I've been experiencing a similar volume reset to 100% in application
(not system volume) when switching tracks manually or automatically in a
playlist in both Elisa and Juk. Nate's comment about WirePlumber piqued my
interest, and replacing the "pipewire-media-session" package with "wireplumber"
fixed my issue. The volume stays where I set it when the track changes,
manually or otherwise.

I also noticed that the "pipewire-media-session" project on the FreeDesktop
GitLab states "Note that we recommend the use of WirePlumber instead."

Thanks for helping me resolve that annoying issue!

Software:
Arch Linux (updated just before posting this comment)
plasma-desktop: 5.25.1-1
plasma-framework: 5.95.0-2
qt5: 5.15.5+kde+r163-1
