Ever since we implemented a triangle mouse filter for the categories sidebar
(which was done after this bug report was submitted), the complaints about
hover have magically disappeared, which I attribute to us fixing the UX
annoyances in an invisible way such that people no longer get annoyed and think
of workarounds such as making hover optional. So I think we'll close this for
now until we get more reports. Thanks anyway!
