Same here on Arch Linux, KOrganizer/KMail 5.2.3.
To reproduce, I simply have to press "Select Attendees..." on the Attendees tab
and select one.
'"Lastname, Firstname" <acco...@host.tld>' (testing with '"Kramski-Grote, Heinz
Werner" <kram...@web.de>') is my (the?) default address format and not
"interestingly formatted".
Error message here is:
Message sending failed since the following recipients were rejected by the
server: "Kramski-Grote, Heinz Werner" <kram...@web.de> (The server responded:
"5.5.4 RCPT command parameter unrecognized: "Heinz"")
