In my case, the same, after some update...
Maybe the following method will help:
$ /usr/lib/kscreenlocker_greet --testing
showed, among others:
file:///usr/share/plasma/look-and-feel/org.kde.breeze.desktop/contents/lockscreen/LockScreenUi.qml:75:
Error: Cannot assign to non-existent property "showPassword"
So I deleted line 75 in that file:
mainBlock.showPassword = false;
and the additional screen with the "Unlock" button is no longer displayed.
